10 Greatest movie speeches of all time

Movies are a great way to pass time and have some fun. Some movies are very entertaining, and some of them have scenes that can heavily inspire and motivate you. A while ago, we suggested a list of amazing movies that you can (and should) watch in your free time. Today, we come back with a list of the 10 greatest movie speeches of all time!

1. The Final Speech from The Great Dictator (1941)

You’ve probably heard of Charlie Chaplin before. He was an iconic figure of the silent-film era, and most known for his short comic sketches that bring joy and laughter to the hearts of those who watch them. But have you ever wondered what would happen if the silent man spoke? Well, you’d be surprised. In his speech from the movie “The Great Dictator“, Chaplin talks about humanity and the state of the world. When you watch the speech, you’ll see how the man who never spoke will leave you speechless.

2. I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore! (1976)

Just like Chaplin’s speech describes very well our modern days even though it was made 79 years ago, this 44 years old speech from the “Network” movie still resonates today. In this scene, the presenter lets out all of his frustrations of the world in which he lives, urging the people to get made with him because their lives have value.

3. Scent of a Woman (1992)

In the movie “Scent of a Woman“, Al Pacino gives a passionate speech defending Charlie Simms in front of the headmaster and the school disciplinary board. During his speech, Al Pacino also talks about the most important qualities a leader should have.

4. Rudy (1993)

Are you facing a hard time and thinking about quitting whatever you’re doing? Maybe you should take a look at this scene from the movie “Rudy“.

5. Any Given Sunday (1999)

Another Al Pacino speech on this list, but it does deserve its spot. It’s ironic how he begins his speech by saying “I really don’t know what to say” and then gives one of the most inspirational speeches ever given.

6. The Pursuit of happyness (2006)

If you never watched “The Pursuit of Happyness” before, you should at least watch this scene where Chris Gardner talks to his son about dreams and goals.

7. Braveheart (1995)

In times of war, even words can make a huge difference in men. In the movie “Braveheart“, William Wallace gives this incredible speech to the warriors and encourages them to face the huge English armies for their freedom.

8. Independence Day (1996)

“Independence Day” is a movie revolving around mysterious and powerful aliens launching an all-out invasion against the human race. After a series of battles, the world’s only hope lies with a determined band of survivors, uniting for one last strike against the invaders – before it’s the end of all mankind. In times like this, unity and hope are what we need.

9. Rocky Balboa (2006)

This speech from Rocky Balboa is one of the speeches I watched tens of times till now. Rocky’s words are painfully true, yet very motivating and inspirational.

10. The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Last but not least, here’s a speech from “The Wolf of Wall Street“, in which Jordan Belfort motivates his employees to work hard and become rich!
